Olusola Solotan is our Senior Consultant: Planning & Integration with over 15 years of experience in integrated marketing communications and PR. He has successfully managed several national and multinational brands across sectors. His key expertise are media buying, client service, account operations and planning. This has enabled him to provide seamless integration support to cross-functional teams in achieving key objectives in both public and private sectors for Chain Reactions Nigeria.
He obtained a Higher National Diploma in Mass Communication, from Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta; Certificate in Advanced Writing and Reporting Skills from Lagos Business School (LBS). He has a Post-graduate Diploma in Marketing from Lagos State University and is a registered member, Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON).
His foray into the marketing communications began when he joined Messages Inc, where he worked as a Client/Media Executive and soon moved to ResNova Advertising as Senior Client/Media Executive. He had a long stint with CMC Connect where he worked first as Associate Group Head, Media, then Deputy Group Head: Media and later Deputy Group Head: Brand & Corporate PR. He joined Chain Reactions Nigeria as Group Head, Strategy and Business Development and was elevated to Senior Consultant: Planning and Integration. In this role, Solotan ensures that all of the pieces that make up a campaign/project stay organised, on deadline and budget.
An experienced marketing communications campaigner, he managed the 360-degree communications for Lagos Water Regatta, Ogun State Investment Forum and the World Bank. Solotan worked with the Ministry of Mines and Steel Development investment roadshows and Federal Government’s National Social Investment Programme (NSIP). He also coordinated the All-Progressives Congress (APC) Pan Nigerian campaign (planning, production).
Solotan has executed PR communications campaigns for City Express Bank, Doyin Group, Coca-Cola Trophy Tour of Nigeria in 2010; Pan-Nigeria Sprite Triple Slam activation, Fanta House Party in 2008 & 2009 respectively as well as Coca-Cola Tree Lighting, 2008 & 2009 among others. He also worked on Nigerian Breweries’ Gulder 5-Aside Football Competition activation across the country, co-managed the 7th Gulder Ultimate Search communication in 2009, PR communications for telecoms/IT-related brands such as TECNO Mobile, Lenovo, Samsung, HP, StarTimes and MasterCard. Further to this, Solotan has also worked on the PR campaigns for SIAO, Accenture, Lafarge, Transcorp, International Monetary Fund (IMF) and Mouka Foam. Olusola was the Team Lead that provided media activation for the inauguration of Fynefield Petroleum FZE’s 40 million-litre capacity ultra-modern petroleum products farm tank in Cross River State in 2015 which resulted in extensive editorial coverage.
His account planning experience includes handling PR communications for GE Group’s business portfolio: power, oil & gas, healthcare and rail transportation, and Rainoil.
