Chief Operating Officer

Henry Eguridu is our Chief Operating Officer with over 13 years of experience in contributing to business profitability and client development. A consumate corporate communications consultant and marketing communications professional, Eguridu has adeptly developed and implemented brand and communications strategies for our high net worth clients. He has also successfully planned and executed multi-million dollar PR and marketing communications programmes, maintained and built a healthy stakeholder relationship while driving the implementation of best practices with remarkable results.

He has a BA Hons (History) from Delta State University; Master’s in Public and International Affairs, (MPIA) University of Lagos; Diploma in Communications, Advertising and Marketing (CAM) from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) UK, Certified Digital Marketer from the Digital Marketing Institute, Ireland.

He is currently COO and Senior Consultant at Chain Reactions Nigeria where he provides high octave strategic account management for clients including 9mobile, First Bank, Facebook, Cellulant, Lafarge, Wema Bank, Lekki Concession Company and others. He also serves as Account Director on different accounts such as Facebook, 9mobile, Lafarge and Lekki Concession Company.
His industry experience cuts across FMCG, telecommunications, IT, Financial services, oil and gas, public sector, real estate, education, gaming and political campaigns etc.

Eguridu began his career as an Office Administrator and transited into public relations when he joined Trucontact Ltd as Media Relations Executive in 2007. Henry quickly rose to become Head of Media Relations with responsibility for developing strategic media interventions and advisories. He then became saddled with driving the partnerships for the Nigeria CSR Awards with the aim of attracting Nigeria’s leading businesses to understand the concept of CSR and Sustainability and providing support for the CSR Awards.

He was also responsible for marketing the reports to corporate social responsibility (CSR) managers and heads of corporate communications, editors and publishers. He was Sub-editor of the Nigeria CSR Report and was equally responsible for the planning and printing of the report outside Nigeria. In 2011, he moved to Simon Page School of Marketing as Event Coordinator and within 6 months, was promoted to Events and PR Coordinator where he successfully executed several events and PR programmes and created a strong media visibility strategy that was previously non-existent. He built strong partnerships with senior marketing executives in driving sponsorship for the school’s events such as the Annual Dinner and Awards, Digital Marketing Conference and Exhibition and bespoke trainings. He moved to Chain Reactions Nigeria in 2014 and has risen through the ranks to become Senior Consultant and later Chief Operating Officer.
His work spans journalism, digital marketing, public relations, sales and marketing, activations, CSR & sustainability and out-of-home (OOH) advertising.

His achievements include creating partnerships for the Nigeria CSR Awards; Nigeria’s flagship event for CSR bringing on board great brands such as Konga, BATN, GTBank, Lafarge, UAC and Nigerian Breweries and several others.
For two consecutive years, he organised Nigeria’s first Digital Marketing Conference and Exhibition (DMCE) bringing together local and international experts in the field of digital marketing. He also managed digital communications for Alomo Bitters, Propertymart, Dettol, Mortein and Lagos State Government among other brands.

He is responsible for developing and executing successful social media strategies for campaigns for the Office of Governor of Lagos State; Alomo Bitters anti-counterfeiting campaign, Mortein, Dettol, Etisalat (now 9mobile), Propertymart Real Estate Limited, Arla Foods, Ovaltine, Tiskies, Lagos State Government, and the Lagos Economic Summit (EHINGBETI).
