The global 2020 Edelman Trust Barometer survey report was unveiled virtually on Tuesday, July 21, 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic by Chief Executive Officer, Edelman Africa, Jordan Rittenberry.

Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Social Protection, Mrs. Maryam Uwais; Director, Public Affairs, Lafarge Plc, Folashade Ambrose-Medebem, Director of News, TVC, Stella Din Jacob, and the Executive Director, Enough Is Enough (EIE), Yemi Adamolekun discussed the report and shared their perspectives as operators in these critical institutions of society.
The 2019 edition of the report which was unveiled on Thursday 30, May 2019 with the theme, ‘Trust at Work’ is the second exclusive deck on Nigeria.
The other African countries surveyed are South Africa, Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Morocco, Cote’d Ivoire, Ethiopia, Tanzania and Angola.
A panel of discussants which comprises seasoned professionals, media practitioners, government officials and civil society activists are a key part of the Nigeria unveil as they discuss the survey report and its implications for Nigeria.
Nigeria was included in the survey for the first time in 2018 where the report was formally unveiled on Thursday 31, May 2018 with the theme, ‘The Battle for Truth’. The inclusion of an exclusive deck on Nigeria by Edelman Intelligence is on the heels of the significant impressions recorded at the debut unveil in Nigeria when Chain Reactions hosted the presentation of the 17th edition of the annual global survey in Lagos, the first time ever in the history of Nigeria and since the survey was established in 2001.
Facilitated by Chain Reactions, the report was formally unveiled in Nigeria for the first time on Tuesday 16, May 2017 in Lagos with the theme ‘We Are Nothing Without Trust’.
